Emerson Electric Antique Fan Model Type 77646-AS # 29 115 Volts
EDIT (11/26/2018) : A few people have told me, regarding the mild shock, was that I probably just had the plug inserted backwards and that it was a polarity issue. I believe this could very well be the case as the cord end is not polarized. However, the cord needs replaced anyways since it is hardened due to age and not safe.. Not that flexible either. Also would be a good idea I suppose to put a polarized plug end on it as well. It was running there at the sale for hours with what appeared to be no problem. The motor seems to run smoothly and fan blade mechanism spins smoothly. I brought it home and sat it on the counter and plugged it in. It continued to spin fine. However I was barefoot on the concrete kitchen floor and as soon as I touched the base of the fan, I felt a tingling electric current in my hand at the base. So this fan is a shock/fire hazard as is , and needs the wiring replaced by someone qualified to do so. The time I briefly had it plugged in, I did adjust the speed control lever at the base, and it changed speeds fine. All the photos are the actual item for sale and please see the tag with the model number on it. It also has a “29” in the bottom right corner which should help identify this fan. The base has typical rust on the bottom and simply needs to be cleaned up and felt reapplied to the base.
