Fresh from an estate is a wonderful art deco antique electric fan manufactured by Knapp Monarch from St. Louis, MO in the 1930s. The fan features terrific and streamlined art deco design with shiny steel blades and motor cover and black paint. The fan is relatively small (8 diameter blades) and is the perfect size for a small shelf, mantle, or desk. It is in outstanding vintage condition and it appears the fan was used very little and carefully stored. This fan is ready to use, display, and enjoy immediately! The fan can also be mounted to a wall and the fan head tilted. A guaranteed conversation starter! The fan is in a remarkable state of preservation and in outstanding vintage condition, especially given it is nearly 100 years young. The fan features a cast iron base, steel motor housing, and steel blades and cage. The blades, front motor housing, and some screws are polished steel or chromed. The original black crinkle paint is almost entirely intact and in excellent (albeit a bit soiled) condition. The cord is an older replacement. Some parts have a bit of patina/tarnish, but should clean up well. Please see the pics for a visual inspection of the cosmetic condition. The fan is a one-speed model (off / on) and runs well and smoothly. The blades are 8″ in diameter and the fan’s approximate height is 10.75″, width is 9″ and depth is 8″. The build quality of the fan is impressive heavy! And represents a bygone era of American manufacturing. This is a fan you can use immediately and for years to come — a definite conversation starter!
