Per FanCollectors. Org: The first Emerson Junior was made in late 1921 as a high quality, low cost fan. It was a stationary plug fan which means that it did not possess a switch or an oscillating mechanism. The base was not covered and the fan sat on four rubber feet. The example in our collection of this fan has 9 steel Parker blades painted a brass color which seems to be the standard until late in the screw-on blade’s production. See the matching medallion, as this is the same first model from 1921. There is no “on” switch, it is plug it in and it goes. Unplug to stop it. I’ve bought this from an antique shop a while back, where it was refurbished with a new cord, some paint on the body, and fresh “brass” color coating on the blades. See video, as it does operate – though take care for fingers through the “guard”! This is a wonderful desk piece. It weighs a hefty 9 lbs 4 oz. The neck/angle can be adjusted by a wing-nut screw. They do NOT make them like this anymore. This will be packaged with bubble wrap, sealing wrap, and packing paper to ensure there is sufficient padding.
