It is a 2 speed. For some reason it has 4 way switch. 2 of the positions have no function. The other 2 are low and high speeds. I had to spin the blade to get it to come on the first time (decades in storage). After that it came on with no issues.

Vintage Mathes Cooler Box Fan. Finish on the side is peeling a bit, possible zig zag crack in wood down the side (see pictures). Fan works but has not been used other than a test in years and I see some fraying of the wire (see pictures) so would recommend re-wiring before use.
