Up for your consideration is a rare and smooth-running GE chromium plate model 16, 4-blade, 3-speed oscillating fan. The base and motor are chrome, the blade is aluminum. Very Art Deco cage styling. I believe this to be truly rare: Other chrome fans were made by GE during this time, but this is the only one I’ve ever seen in this particular model. Back then the entire word was used: Chromium. About the condition of this fan: I would call this Good +. There are signs of wear and scratches on the chrome, but it is chrome-covered throughout – without few very small areas where the chrome has worn away. The fan is very clean – and it oscillates well. The oil cups were last serviced in 2013, with wicks replaced in 2007. The oscillator grease was changed in 2007, as well. The badge is in good condition. The head wire and the cord have been replaced. The base has been recovered in a green felt — replacing the original color. At 120 volts she runs at 93 watts on high an 74 watts on medium and 64 on low. There is nothing missing on this fan. Enjoy a slice of history with a conversation piece like this specimen. You can be assured of excellent and secure packing. If you’d like another shipper, I’m happy to accommodate. Also, if you’re in the greater Chicagoland area, I’m happy to have you pick the fan up. Please look at my other auctions. Some fans are older and more remarkable; others are more common but possess some kind of aesthetic history that I thought was unique or interesting. You’ll find that all fans are operational, clean, and in good condition. If for some reason there is an issue with the item when it arrives, please contact me ASAP to address it.
