Fresh from an estate is an incredible art deco antique electric fan manufactured by the Robbins & Myers Company of Springfield, Ohio in the 1930s. This fan SCREAMS art deco, with it’s angular, octagonal base and motor housing, decorative accents, and black & silver paint. The fan is in remarkable original condition and has only been gently wiped clean, with several drops of lubricating oil applied to the oil port. It is absolutely gorgeous and is ready for sev. Eral more decades of dependable service. This is a striking vintage fan that is all-original, clean, and stunning! It is ready to display and enjoy immediately! The fan features a cast aluminum base and motor housing with 16 diameter steel blades, cage, and fittings oilers, screws, etc. The fan is in a remarkable state of preservation and in outstanding vintage condition, especially given it is nearly 100 years young. The original paint on the motor housing and base is still present save for some paint chips. The original cord from the base to the plug is still in very good shape, and the cord from the motor to the base has been taped. The fan runs smoothly and oscillates on all three distinct speeds and puts out an impressive breeze. There is an oscillating knob (on the top of the motor housing), which engages/disengages the oscillating mechanism, so the fan can be operated stationary or oscillating. The fan’s approximate dimensions are 19.5″ high, 17.25″ wide, and 13 deep. The build quality of the fan is impressive heavy! And represents a bygone era of American manufacturing. This is a fan you can use and enjoy for years to come — a definite conversation starter!
