Fresh from an estate is a minty art deco antique electric fan manufactured by Wright Industries of Lisbon, Ohio in the later 1930s / early 40s. Marketed as the “Zephyr Airkooler, ” the fan features a solid aluminum stylized body, blades, and motor housing, which was very unique at the time. The fan is in a remarkable state of preservation — it appears to have been rarely, if ever, used. The fan was manufactured for both use as a desk fan or to be mounted on a wall — it would look outstanding mounted to a wall! The fan is in outstanding original cosmetic condition — looks to have never been used. The paint is nearly fully intact with almost no scuffing or scratches (save one on the back of the motor). The “Wright Industries” applied overlay on the front center of the base is still present and legible. The soiled hang tag is still present on the cord, which is also original. The cage and blade are dusty and dirty and should clean up well. Please see pictures for a visual inspection of the fan. The fan is a single model and operates well with a little noise — perhaps needs oil? The fan’s height is 12.5″, width is 10″, and depth is 8.25. Vintage fans make wonderful, unique, and highly distinctive birthday, wedding, and holiday gifts. In addition to the practical use of providing air movement, the fan could also be used as wonderful and stylish accent item in a range of settings vintage home, beach house, office, second home, etc. As it really conveys the 1930s. Please note: in some photos there may be a very faint vertical yellow-ish line on the left third of the photo. This is an issue with the camera, the line is not evident on the fan! The fan will be expertly packed – it will be securely wrapped with 2-3 layers of bubble-wrap, double-boxed, and very securely packed.
