General Electric 12 Antique Fan. BMY (Big Motor Yoke). Up for your consideration is a very unique and rare antique fan with brass blades and cage. This is a beautiful General Electric fan. General Electric was well known for building high quality fans in the early 1900’s. This model is the 12 version also known as the Big Motor Yoke or BMY. I was quite fortunate to come across this rare piece of American History. The blades and cage are constructed of solid brass and the main body is constructed of cast iron and steel. The fan stands approx18 tall from base to top of cage and swivels up, down. This fan works but looks like the switch is removed and was probably rewired at some point and might want to rewire but up to you. Also see photo 8 will need a screw to attach the cage should be an easy fix. Please see photos for condition any questions please ask. Made in the USA. Made by: General Electric. Patent Date: June 25,1901. Is working, missing on/off switch and 1 bolt on cage. Minor signs of wear on base and blades.
