For your consideration is an old Western Electric fan from the early 20th century. This fan runs on all 3 speeds, it does speed up and slow down very slightly while running. It may be a dirty commutator or the brushes may need adjustment. One of the cage’s S wires has been replaced. This fan is an “all brass” model. The motor housing and base are brass like the blades, cage and struts. Though they are factory “blued” or plated, which gives it a black painted appearance. This coating can be polished off if you desire, but the coating is in great original shape.
