Antique Vintage POLAR CUB 10 OSCILLATING FAN A. C. Gilbert Works
Gilbert Polar Cub Oscillating Fan. There are 4 fan blades measuring 10 across. It oscillates and swivels. The bracket attaching the fan to the body is bent to the side, but I hesitate to try and repair it. The motor runs fine. It was manufactured by A. Gilbert of New Haven CT. The patent date on the plug as shown in the pictures is PAT 56943 on the top and 1279427on the bottom of the plug. I can’t completely read the label across the motor, but it does say “Polar Cub” in the center with what appears to be A. Gilbert on the right. It has the “Polar Cub” logo on the front badge on the cage. The cord doesn’t have any fraying or damage, but is missing that piece of cardboard on the base for safety. It measures about 11″ across the outer cage and 14″ high from base to the top of the cage. It is all original, even the cord. It runs oscillates and the lever on the bottom slides back and forth. It isn’t perfect and needs a bit of cleanup and care, but it is a lovely antique appliance with character. The Polar Fan in the photos is the exact fan that you will receive. I do my best to accurately describe my items and disclose any flaws. Please see the photos and video for any additional details and feel free to contact me with Any questions.
