A very nicely restored/customized small General Electric (GE) Quiet Blade Electric desk fan from the 1930s. Restored by me (David Hoatson) about 6 years ago. Metallic blue paint, all aluminum polished, bottom cover felt replaced by brown suede leather. The aluminum parts of the motor could use a re-polishing. The three fan blades were removed, polished, and re-riveted onto the hub. The oiler was serviced with a new wick and a new power cord was installed. The original motor-to-base hardwire was not replaced, although its outer sheath is a bit worn. All electrical connections were inspected for safety and function. The fan starts and runs with no problem. Here is a video of it running. The item “Antique Vintage GE Desk Fan 9 Quiet Blade Restored” is in sale since Friday, November 16, 2018.
