This is a beautiful restored 12 inch Peerless/Colonial front end oscillator fan circa 1912. The name tag indicates a 1909 last patent. The front end oscillator is rare and unusual making this a desirable collectors item. It was made by the Peerless Electric Motor Co of Warren , Ohio founded in 1893 and still in operartion. The fan was restored about five years ago. The blades and cage are brass and were cleaned/buffed. The cast iron body was redone in polished lacquer and decorative striping added and new rubber feet. The motor was removed, cleaned and replaced. The electrical line and motor feed wires were replaced. I painted the exterior of remaining steel screw heads with brass paint for appearance. This fan is rated 110 v AC The speed changer works well delivering three distinct speeds. The unit runs smooth and strong. This fan is unique and beautiful and hard to find. It will be a great conversation piece. The item “Antique Peerless/Colonial FFI-8 Front Oscillator Electric Fan- Circa 1912″ is in sale since Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
