Offered is this K&D No. 5 electric motor from the early 20th century. It works on 6 volts DC and runs at 1800 RPM. Overall length is about 6-1/2 inches including the shaft, 4-1/2 inches wide, and 5-1/2 inches high. The shaft is 1/4 inch in diameter, and is 1-1/2 inches long. The motor weighs about 9 pounds. It is in as-found condition. There is rust on the shaft, but very little elsewhere. The painted finish is generally good, with some paint loss here and there. It still has the original wire mesh brushes, and the early-style binding posts. The commutator shows light wear, but nothing serious. The shaft is straight. The motor runs fine, but will need lubrication. It displays well as it is, but would benefit from a good cleaning if you choose. Thank you for looking!
