Here’s one of my freshly restored Hunter Brass Blade Brass Cage big motor yoke fans. Restored in one of my custom colors Black Cherry. Blades measure a total span of 12 across and the head can be tipped up or down. These Hunter fans are becoming more scarce every day as they were made by GE for Hunter and were not as plentifull as the more common GE big motor yoke fans. Restored top to bottom includes removal of the windings and inspecting them and then reinsulating with motor winding varnish and installing a new old style headwire. All cast iron parts were bead blasted to the bare metal and were then surface prepared and primed with a high grade automotive type primer. All brass has been polished to a high luster and clear coated to prevent premature reoxidation. The Black Cherry paint is smooth and has a deep gloss like glass and done in a high grade automotive paint with a hardner additive that will retain it’s deep shine for many years to come. That makes the paint very durable and can be just wiped clean with a polishing cloth when needed without marring the finish. New rubber base feet to avoid marking of any surface the fan sets on. “New” old style gold twisted power cord and “new” old style plug installed and restored motor badge for the finishing touch. This fan runs so smooth and quiet on all three speeds you hardly know it’s running. Would go great in any room of the house office or den. These are indoor pictures don’t really do this fan justice. Shadows on the cage badge are just the way the camera took the picture. The black cherry and brass combination is just stunning. You have to see it in person. This is one gleaming beauty.
