Found this fan in the attic of my house the cords were very frayed but just for the heck of it, i attached a new cord and it turns out it works absolutely perfectly! All three speeds work and it is perfectly balanced… No wobble or shake at any speed and the oscillator works perfectly too. It was very dusty/dirty and i just wiped it down but i didn’t want to clean it too much because i don’t know if the patina is desireable or not. It has two minor problems… One is that it needs a new, period-correct cord installed because i just put a modern one on just to test it and it looks silly like that. The second problem is that the bottom i guess had felt at one time that has deteriorated and so it needs the bottom recovered to look nice. 75423 on the switch so i guess that’s the model number. Like i said, it needs a cord and new felt or something on bottom, but other than that it is perfect, it is totally whisper queit at all three speeds and perfectly balanced.. It’s almost like a piece of artwork. It is EXTREMELY heavy.. The item “Antique GE General Electric 75423 AC 12 Brass Blades. Fan Works Great” is in sale since Sunday, April 24, 2016.
