UPDATE 7/10/18: I tested it again…. I let it run a bit and shut it off. I turned it back on and it started up on it’s own. SEE VIDEO LINK BELOW. Unmolested Emerson Type 1500. Switch works and porcelain is good. Brass cage and blades have minor misshapes. Cage has separated at the bottom of the forward ring. Base shows some surface rust. When briefly tested, motor hums but no spin. Please see update above. (At least the light didn’t go out) Blades spin by hand but not as freely as they should. If you are by chance unhappy please let me know and I will try and make things right.
