Terrific art deco design — check out the base! — with chrome blades and motor cover and black paint. Given the excellent condition, it appears the fan was used very little and carefully stored. The underside of the base looks brand new! With a couple drops of lubricating oil, it is ready for several more years of dependable service! This fan is ready to display and enjoy immediately! The fan is in a remarkable state of preservation and in outstanding vintage condition, especially given the fan is nearly 100 years young. The fan features a cast iron base, steel motor housing, and steel blades and cage. The blades, front motor housing, and some screws are polished steel or chromed. The original paint (black crinkle) is almost entirely intact and in excellent (albeit a bit soiled) condition. The cord is newer. Some parts have a bit of patina/tarnish, but should clean up well. Please see the pics for a visual inspection of the cosmetic condition. The fan is a one-speed model (off / on) and runs and oscillates smoothly. The blades are 10″ in diameter and the fan’s approximate height is 13 1/8″, width is 11 1/8″ and depth is 8.5″. The build quality of the fan is impressive heavy! And represents a bygone era of American manufacturing. This is a fan you can use immediately and for years to come — a definite conversation starter! Fans make distinctive holiday, birthday, and wedding gifts — stand out from the crowd with a unique gift they will appreciate and not forget. In addition to the practical use of providing air movement, the fan could also be used as wonderful and stylish accent item in a range of settings vintage home, beach house, office, second home, etc. As it really conveys the art deco period of the 1930s. The fan will be expertly packed – it will be securely wrapped with 2-3 layers of bubble-wrap and double-boxed. Please see my feedback to learn how much clients appreciate the time and care I take in packing their items. Please see my other auctions — lots of estate fresh vintage fans to choose from!
