Being offered from a recent local estate is this Antique 1920’s. Levelle Retractable Birdwing Ceiling Fan Chandelier Light Fixture! This was the first ever retractable blade ceiling fan to exist in history and an amazing example of Industrial ingenuity. Made from the 1920s-1930s. When the fan turns on, the centrifugal force causes the blades to extend outwards until fully opened, when turned off, the blades will slowly retract back into the center, hiding behind the light. In the closed position the diameter is 16 inches. With the blades out it will be 32 inches, and it is about 17 tall. Overall the fan is complete, and in excellent original condition. Retracting mechanism works properly, and the motor is functional. The fan will need to be rewired before use.
