The cord on this fan has been replaced, when I bought it, it had already had a replaced cord… So I replaced that cord with a period looking cord. From my research, I could tell that this fan was made in the 1940’s. However, when I was replacing the cord, I noticed the copper wire was tinned, which indicates a more approximate time of around WW2… Because during the war, they did this to conserve copper. This fan works, is almost mint, has chrome plated blades and is in remarkable condition for its age. I used some swan mineral oil to freshin up it’s look. But running the fan on lesser voltage extends it’s life… It’s already outlived its creator and its company, and survived a world war… Maybe it can outlive you too!
