This early model Veritys will compliment any interior with traditional antiques along with Industrial, Art Deco, and Mid-Century Modern styles. Its solid build quality has ensured its longevity through time and this restoration will continue to provide beauty and function for generations to come. This Veritys has a unique, circular, “Orbit” oscillating mechanism that sets this fan apart from standard oscillating fans. While American electric fans during this time period were made with stamped steel and lesser quality alloys, this British fan is made entirely of cast iron. The blades and cage are solid brass with intricately wrapped cage wires. The handle is painted brass. Amongst the different models of Veritys fans, this “Orbit” model has the preferable curved rear support arm. It also has the rare barrel gear box, of which, there are few surviving complete examples of. In addition, this fan is the stepped base model instead of the more common dome based model. Furthermore, this fan is the Alternating Current (AC) version. Coupled with a step-up transformer in the U. This fan has run reliably without issues in its oscillation mode over an extended period of time. This fan is powerful on it highest setting but gentle and almost silent on its slowest setting. This Veritys has all-original factory paint, and has very little wear, which is rare to find for fans of this age and caliber. In addition, the polished brass blades are in superalative condition with no marks or scratches. Also, the roundness of the cage is truer than most other Veritys orbital fans. This fan has been carefully and meticulously conserved. No part has been replicated. Every screw and every detail has been sweated over with this conservation. The inside of this fan has been thoroughly cleaned, lubricated, and brought up to its original factory condition. The aging electrical cord and head wire has been replaced with a period correct european gauge size and period correct burgundy color replacement. In addition, all paint has been cleaned and brought back to its original high gloss black enamel. Finally, the original pinstriping has been replaced exactingly and detailed by hand. The original fan had “gilt” (gold paint) on the blades and cage though Veritys offered polished brass for an extra charge. The decision was made to polish the cage and blades to bring out the beauty of brass. The following is from the original Veritys Junior Orbit adversitisement. International Buyers – Please Note.
