1910-11c. Fort Wayne Electric Works U. S. A, (G. E.) 12 Antique Desk Fan
Very difficult to find. This model was manufactured by General Electric for Fort Wayne Electric Works, who officially became part of the General Electric Company about the time this fan was manufactured. It is essentially the same as the General Electric 12 desk fan of the period with the exception of the name plate and guard emblem. This antique desk fan features heavy cast iron construction with a twin bearing design. The motor housing is cradled in a yoke design which allows the head to be tilted up or down to direct the air flow. The yoke also swivels to allow the head to turn in the case where the fan was wall mounted. A few of the features of the 1910-11c. Fort Wayne or General Electric desk fan include.
