Oldest fan in my collection. This fan looks like the PRE Westinghouse vane oscillator illustrated on page 161 in Fan Collector Guide. Badge on fan reads: Model 107988 Western Electric. Patent Dates Oct 1893 & Oct 1906. Not a vane oscillator. Brass Blade and guard. Front badge is an impressive heavy brass with the name VICTOR. Runs on 2 speed base switch. The base looks Westinghouse, and the blades turn counter-clockwise like a Westinghouse. Western Electric, Victor, and Westinghouse all involved in this fan. I called the fan man in Dallas, and he informed me that the names and the two speed switch were correct for that era. Fan looks good and runs smoothly. The only thing I have done is add a new power cord. It has been setting on a shelf for a long time. Usually higher than requested which I will cover.
