THIS FAN DOES RUN! IT IS, HOWEVER, A RESTORATION PROJECT OR A PARTS FAN. The blades measure 8 inches across. The cage has seen it’s better days! There are three clean through breaks in the back of the cage. The four arms / struts that hold the cage in place are all there and in great condition. The front emblem is great too. There is one “S” shaped wire missing at the top and a second “S” shaped wire that is broken. The other six “S” shaped wires appear to be there and complete. The switch is still there and the fan does run. The first time I plugged it in it took right off! I had to take it to a friend and get creative to get it plugged in… And the cage is in such bad shape that the blades hit the cage in a couple spots… You do have to make sure the switch is on one of the three points. If you go all the way to the right, you miss the 3rd point. I also got in between points at one spot and it stopped running. Get it on though and it seems to run great! I don’t see any breaks in the base or the tank. This is absolutely basement fresh out of an Ohio basement just 2 weeks ago. Considering the cage is brass, I know it can be fixed… Otherwise just a replacement cage and some cleaning will make this fan a real show stopper! Be sure to see all the pictures!
