Here is an antique original GE General Electric 16 4 blade Type AOU oscillating table fan. This fan type was made in the early 1900s. It has three speeds; high, medium and low, and oh is this powerful when on high, it literally feels like a jet engine, today’s fans do not come close to this power. It has a brass label attached to the base that says Gen. Type AOU, Form AC1, No. E232735, Spec 2720701 Volts 110, Cycles 60. The fan has been tested and it runs on all three speeds, it is a little hard to push the lever from one speed to the other, and the oscillating mechanism is functioning. The whole thing is approximately 19 5/8″ tall x 17.5″ Wide x 8 1/2 Deep. This is a real Heavy metal or cast iron fan, weighs a whopping 23+ pounds. The power cord has been replaced with a newer one sometime during its hundred year lifetime.
