This offering is for an original antique General Electric Ribbed Base Pancake Motor Fan. The fan is marked on the brass tag on the top of the motor and reads in part “ALTERNATING CURRENT FAN MOTOR TYPE AK FORM C VOLTS 110/115 CYCLES 60 NO 171720 GENERAL ELECTRIC CO USA”. There are also several patent dates, the earliest is Pat May 17, 87 and the latest is June 25, 1901. The blades and cage are missing but the fan does run. I attached a cord to the two terminals on the back and it started right up. It runs smoothly but there is some play in the motor and it shifts front to back inside it’s housing if tilted, I think it’s because there are no blades in place but I’m not really sure. The fan measures app. 14 to the top of the motor and it’s very clean, the overall condition is excellent with only some loss to the black paint primarily on the ribbed base. The paint on the motor housing is excellent. The original switch components look like they are all in place with the exception of the switch knob itself but they have not been tested. If additional photo’s are needed or you have need of answers to questions we do not address we will be happy to supply them. WE USUALLY SEND OUR INVOICE WITHIN 1 HOUR OF THE AUCTIONS ENDING.
