OF THE HIGHEST ORDER MAKES THIS WESTERN ELECTRIC MODEL G-1 BIPOLAR ELECTRIC MOTOR CIRCA 1885 UNUSUALLY RARE – WITH ALL PAINTED DESIGNS FOUND ON IT EXCEPTIONAL BEYOND BELIEF! A CIRCA 1885 WESTERN ELECTRIC Model G-1 BIPOLAR electric motor with exceptional hand-painted decoration. With cast bas-relief bronze builder’s plaque as shown. HAS THE NUMBER/ LETTER “1854-C” CAST INTO CAST IRON BASE. Retains outer thin black cloth coil covers (in super clean shape), on both of the two bipolar coil assemblies, which makes this bipolar motor even more uncommon than most. There some very tiny nicks to the end cap edges on both coil top ends. The motor is rated at “1 AMP” and 110 VOLTS. ” It has a “REV” rated at “1300” at “1/12 H. The circular mount for the two electric armature brushes slips off of its mount and needs an adjustment or a shim added for better retention. This impressive electric motor measures 8″ x 6″ x 7 1/2 in size. The coils are each 2 3/4 in diameter. One screw is missing on pulley side of motor body at top. Brass pulley is original to motor and measures 2 3/4 in diameter. Check out the accompanying photographs. WITH ACCESSORY POWER TAKE-OFF DUAL PULLEY and BRACKET ASSEMBLY.
