Large Vintage Industrial Fan 22 Coleman Coolair (propeller blade) two blade
This fan is huge. When I got it I plugged it in and the switched it on. Both the switch and the motor seem to run okay. Afterwards I looked at it more carefully and I would be afraid to plug it in again without replacing the cord as there are numerous places the cord is cracked and if twisted could short or if touched could shock a person. The brand is Coleman Coolair. It has a blade diameter of 22″ and the cage is 24″ in diameter. It weighs about 32 lbs before packaging. The fan blade is aluminum I think. One of the little bolts that protrude through the side of the housing to hold the cage on just spun from the inside, they are little carriage head bolts as near as I can tell. I carefully cut the bolt but then realized that the fan blade is actually pinned on. It looks like they drilled a pin hole in the motor shaft and in the blade, drove a pin through it, and then set it in place with a punch on each side. To get it off a person is going to have to either drill the open wider or maybe just tapping the pin through with a small punch might spread the opening on the reverse and allow the pin to be removed. I have removed the base, which was held in place by what was definitely not the original bolt. I will package it very carefully with plenty of support.
