It powers and oscillates – the reason it is for parts is because it is missing the bolt on the top which holds the motor in place, so it will flop around. Nice cast iron art deco style design from around the 20s or 30s. Fan blades measure 9.5″ (11.5″ with fan grill). Comes in condition shown, has some age related wear and dust / grime.

Vintage Signal Electric Type 550A Oscillating Desk Fan It has two speeds and oscillates All working Does have some minor wear, mainly on the logo on the cage, the rubber grommets are missing that protects the cord, and there is some slight fraying on the fabric covering the wires to the motor (However, I do not see any exposed wire) No restoration has been done. It is all original and very clean with glossy black paint. A good cleaning and logo and this will look incredible. Measures approximately 13″ High Cage is approximately 11″ in diameter. Very rare 1930’s Edgar T Ward “Zephyr ” high velocity industrial propeller fan designed by Robert D Budlong. This was removed from a restaurant that was in business from the late 30’s into the early 60’s. Has beautiful stepped deco cast iron base. It was designed to be sat on a counter or mounted on the ceiling or wall. It is in nice physical condition and still works great and puts out a ton of air. There was originally a pull switch to turn it on and off but somewhere along the way the switch must have broken because it was hardwired to be on all the time and controlled by a switched outlet in the restaurant. This is a large, rare and heavy fan. A relic from a time when things were meant to last a lifetime. This is NOT a best offer listing. The price is not negotiable. This is a large, rare, heavy electrical item. Fan will need to be picked up at location it is being stored. I will NOT deliver.
