This fan is in working condition. It is missing the handle covering, 2 fan directional thumb wheels (1 for each fan) and 2 of the rubber feet. The fan assembly needs a thorough cleaning or refurbishing. It’s a great candidate for restoration if you prefer. Unit measures 27 1/4″ wide, 15 1/2″ tall, 8 deep. Fan cages are 12 3/4 diameter. I FOUND ALL KINDS OF INFORMATION ON THIS THROUGH ITS PATENT NUMBER. AT THE BOTTOM W THE FAN IS IT HAS A METAL TAG WITH THIS INFO: PAT. 17, 1928 WEST PAT. AND PUT IN THIS PATENT NUMBER YOU WILL FIND ALL KINDS OF INFORMATION ON THIS LITTLE INVENTION BY ROSS WEST, SHOWS THE SPECS, DRAWING AND INFORMATION (FOUR PAGES)…. I HAVE TYPED SOME UP FOR YOU INCASE YOU DONT GET TO THAT SITE, BUT TO SUM IT UP QUICKLY FOR THE CURIOUS… IF YOU EVER GOT STUCK IN A VAULT YOU WOULD SUFFOCATE IN A FEW HOURS BECAUSE THEY ARE AIR TIGHT, IN VAULTS THEY WOULD HAVE A PLUG THAT YOU WOULD OPEN UP, STICK THE SMALL END INTO THE HOLE AND DRAW IN FRESH AIR…. The fan has a thermostat control that appears to work fine. Both fans can be turned to go in different directiosn, one can act as an intake and the other as an exhaust. They can both be used in multiple positions. Very Versatile Overall Fan that runs great. The handle on top has lost it’s cover and the knobs controlling the direction you want the fan to face are missing, but you can easily move the fans by hand to face the direction you want. For being roughly 70 years old this fan is in amazing condition. There is some rust in spots please see photo and there is a slight rattle in the right fan after it runs for a while. One fan stops working when you turn the thermostat down to low, but works in med to high settings fine. Magnificent ventilator in bakelite calor 110 volts. Very beautiful antique fan. He(It) works but he(it) is of collection or decoration. He(it) has brightness of metal and bumps on helixes(propellers). He(it) is noisy and the functioning is not regular. Design machine age furnishes. Very rare to find. Quelques traces dues temps.
