Completely taken apart and restored. New power cord and felt. Runs perfectly on 3 distinct speeds. Before and after pictures. Cage and blade will be removed and boxed separately. I have seen a very similar fan being described as Designed by Peter Behrens for AEG but I cannot validate that.

Although not perfect they are way better than none. One has been soldered as I broke it trying to straighten it. My expert buddy hal ware did the repair and straightened the whole thing. You will have to be adept with fitting your cage to these struts but feel positive It can be done with a tinkerers skills.

The great design features a brown textured high-quality cast iron base, a streamlined chrome bullet shaped motor cover, chrome blade and cage, beautifully placed chrome trim accents, and unique vertical tag with stylish vintage font. It has been cleaned and serviced. The power cord has been upgraded to our superior domestically produced OTR+W cloth covered wire. The motor is a shaded pole type motor and runs warm – the experts in the fan community say that is attributed to that type of motor.

The cord, as shown, can be left alone or you can change to reproduction-like cords. But if your a purist, leave as is to display. Emerson began making fans c. For sale is an antique Emerson Jr electric fan from 1921 which is the first year that they produced the’Jr. This very rare vintage fan features an adjustable tilt/head and a non-oscillating design. The fan is in the excellent running condition. Works and runs good but should be rewired. It has the original cloth power cord. The blades show signs of wear on the tips and some of the brass paint has flaked off. The blades have been lightly polished in order to maintain the patina. It is a stationary plug fan which means that it did not possess a switch. Just plug directly into the wall. From 1921 to 1936 the Junior line used a cast motor with the hollow-shaft screw-on blade design used in the larger Emerson fans. This is a very durable motor that make these the most desirable models in the evolution. The first Emerson Junior was made in late 1921 as a high quality, low cost fan. Or an oscillating mechanism. The base was not covered and the fan sat on four rubber. This fan has 9 steel Parker blades painted a brass color which seems to be the standard until late in the screw-on blade’s production. The fan is in working condition and has a 10 inch diameter. It has a classic black finish and was made in the United States.
