General Electric desk fan made about 1936. These fans with overlapping aluminum blades were called the Quiet Fan. 8 inch aluminum blades. Fan runs great, was fully serviced and painted gloss black. New wiring throughout, new wall plug, new electrical grommets. All parts cleaned, polished or painted. Fresh oil and wick, new grease in gearbox. New felt on base. Blades were cleaned up, and. Hunter table fan made by General Electric. 16 inch solid brass blades. Cast iron base and housings. This is a big fan, and has LOTS of power on all speeds! Fan was completely taken apart and every part cleaned. New wires and wall plug. New grommets, oiler wick, felt on base. Original paint is in good condition for age. Has been cleaned and waxed. The only part repainted is the cage/guard. Blades have been clear coated to retain shine. SEE PHOTOS FOR COSMETIC CONDITION! There is scuffing and paint loss, as well as the usual wear and tear. Antique GE Oscillating Fan. Brass, Cast, 3 Speeds. 1900s Condition is “Used”. I have the before pictures of this fan when I started to disassemble and reworking the entire fan. The fan was complete and it needed a lot of TLC. I had to replace some bushings, worm gear, and the oscillation gear (that I lost somewhere), replaced the wick and wick oil, replaced the grease in the gearbox. I used a synthetic oil for the wick reservoir and a synthetic bearing grease for the gearbox. The electrical cord has been replaced along with the plug. The black and red cotton cord is a brand new replacement from Vintage Wire and Supply along with the new rubber grommets and a brass tip going into the fan base. This was a true labor of love and took longer than expected. The paint is a period correct black enamel paint from PPH. The cage is brass. I painted it black to make the fan blades and GE logo pop out more. I did not spray the blades with a clear coat. Should you want me to remove the paint on the cage and show off the brass on the cage more, I can do that. The fan has 3 speeds and all three speeds work. It has been running quietly and smoothly with no problems whatsoever since I completed this project last week. The fan weighs 21lbs. Please feel free to ask any questions you have. All sales are final. UNLESS I GROSSLY, unintentionally, misrepresent the item entirely. I only say this because Ive been burned by a few dishonest buyers trying to scam honest people. Thats not my idea or policy, however, it is what it is. When payments are made after 2 p. I do this because Ive had sellers do this to me and I appreciate that when they do.
