Extremely rare General Electric company England art deco dual sided partners desk fan. Overall the physical condition is very good for its age, it could use a good polishing, and the frame has some spots where it is slightly bent. 1 blade is missing 1 small nut for the tiny screws holding the blade on, this should be easy to find at a hardware store. I want to reiterate, there is a difference in frequency and voltage between American and European appliances, and especially antique European appliances were not made to run on American power outlets, so I can not guarantee that it will work here or be responsible for damage caused to the motor by using converters. Fan measures approx 18.5″ tall 13″ wide and 7.5 deep. Please ask any questions prior to purchasing.

Fresh from an estate is an important and rare two blade antique electric fan that runs on 220-260 volts. The fan was manufactured by Stromberg Carlson and distributed in Australia. The fan’s unique design and rarity led to its inclusion in the permanent collection of Australia’s Powerhouse Museum, one of the country’s top museums. The fan’s important design elements include its square cage and motor housing resembling a vintage microphone. The fan is all original and in as-found condition. The fan is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition and exhibits age appropriate wear. The original green paint is well preserved and should clean/polish up nicely. In addition to operating on a desk or table (flat surface), the fan. Can be mounted to a wall or vertical surface. The fan head adjusted appropriately, and you have a wall-mounted fan…. Perfect for man caves, workshops, great rooms, etc. The blades measure 8 in diameter. The fan’s width is 8.5″ and it stands 11.25″ tall. This is a historically important example of Australia’s design and technological past, and a fan that almost never comes to market in the United States. Rest assured the fan will be expertly packed. Everything will be securely wrapped with 2-3 layers of bubble-wrap, double-boxed, and very securely packed.
