The GE badge is the signature of this awesome piece of. This fan has been totally disassembled and reassembled to fully function like it did when it was New. Here is a list of things that have been done to this fan, along with some pictures. All parts have been cleaned free of grease in a wash tank. All parts with paint have been bead blasted down to bare me tal. Bushings have been replaced with new. All internal parts have been wire wheeled. All brass internal parts have been polished. Any blemishes in the (metal) have been filled and repaired. Painted with HUNTER GREEN one stage automotive paint (Three coats). Paint was matched to the exact color that it was right out of the factory in 1924. We use high quality paint with hardener and reducer with catalyst. Paint has been wet sanded and. Olished with 3 different grades of polish. All Nuts and Bolts that are brass have been polished. The GE badge on the front has been Polished. Painted, and clear coated to original condition. Name Tags has been painted to original condition and. All nuts and bolts that are brass have been clear-coated. Coin operated devices become popular in the late ninetieth century and this application was soon adapted to fans. Both General Electric and Westinghouse. Made coin operated fans for consumer use. The fan would give the consumer an hour of use for each nickel deposited. The more nickels deposited, the longer the fan would operate. This was ideal for hotels in warmer climates. A small handle has been attached to the motor for greater mobility. This example is for alternating current. The base is made of cast iron and is very heavy. There is a slot located at the. Antique Professionally Restored 16 FWEW Kidney Oscillator Desk Fan. AntiqueFanParts is pleased to make available. Professionally Restored 16 FWEW Kidney Oscillator. His fan features a brass blade and guard that have been professionally polished and clear coated. This fan has been finished using a single stage Acrylic Enamel Automotive Paint. It also features beautiful hand painted gold leaf pinstripes. Fan runs excellent on 3 distinct speeds. The original fragile gearbox has been replaced with a much more reliable cast brass example. There is an older silver repair to one of the bends in the guard, this joint appears very solid and sturdy. Carlton’s rich history began when he was just 8 years old, collecting coins. He spent many hours looking through rolls of pennies in order to complete his “Wheat Penny” collection. As he grew older, Carlton’s interests turned from coins to cars. As a car-obsessed teenager, Carlton managed to find after school work in a body shop, he became very close with the owner who started teaching Carton the art of body work and spraying. Eventually his own car received fresh paint. Carlton later moved on and went to college. After college he put his collecting efforts on temporary hold and got a real job. During his working years, Carlton was employed with the United States Postal Service performing vehicle maintenance. Carlton has always been interested in antiques and early Americana. One of his favorites is the Hershey Car Show, known as being the world’s largest old-car swap meet, held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The fan collecting had begun. It was in 1988 that Carlton made the acquaintance of another antique enthusiast Monty Young, a charter member of the AFCA. Monty possessed amazing restoration skills which were honed during many years of working as a professional restorer of antique cars. Their close friendship lasted until Monty’s passing in 2008. Carlton has attended more than 25 Fan Fair’s. Carlton’s high quality restoration work is easy to spot at any fan meet. His brass polishing techniques, paint work and bold pin-stripping, are flawless. This is a highly desirable variation of the BMY (Big Motor Yoke). This example features flat sturts and squatty base. The amazing high gloss finish was achieved using a Single Stage Acrylic Enamel Automotive Paint, this finish is super durable and will give an amazing shine for many years. The base features hand painted gold leaf pinstripes and speed settings above the switch lever. All the brass had been professionally polished to a mirror shine and lacquered to protect. The head wire and power cord have been replaced for years of safe use. With regular maintenance (checking the oil) this fan will last another lifetime plus. Carlton’s rich history began when he was just 8 years old, collecting coins. He spent many hours looking through rolls of pennies in order to complete his “Wheat Penny” collection. As he grew older, Carlton’s interests turned from coins to cars. As a car-obsessed teenager, Carlton managed to find after school work in a body shop, he became very close with the owner who started teaching Carton the art of body work and spraying. Eventually his own car received fresh paint. Carlton later moved on and went to college. After college he put his collecting efforts on temporary hold and got a real job. During his working years, Carlton was employed with the United States Postal Service performing vehicle maintenance. Carlton has always been interested in antiques and early Americana. Antique fully PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED GE , brass blade, none oscillating 9 Single speed whiz fan for sale. This fan has totally been disassembled and reassembled to fully function like it did when it was New. Here is a list of things that has been done to this fan. All parts have been cleaned free of Grease in a wash tank. All parts with paint have been bead blasted down to bare metal. Bushings have been replaced with new. Any blemishes in the metal have been filled and repaired. No spray paint has been used on this fan at all. We use high quality paint. It consist of catalyst activated Epoxy primer/ sealer, A catalyst activated urethane primer/filler, 2 Coats “Deep Black” base-coat, and 2coats of catalyst activator clear-coat. Pictures speak for themselves. All Nuts and Bolts that are brass have been polished. The GE badge on the front has been clear Polished , painted, and clear coated to original condition. Name Tag has been painted to original condition and clear-coated also. All nuts and bolts that are brass have been clear-coated. Fan Blades have been polished to a mirror shine. (fan blades have not been clear coated for maximum shine and option for owner to polish). Fan blades have been balanced. All new rubber grommets. Has totally been rewired with black cloth replica wire. Similar to the original. New black replica plug. New oil in oil cup. New green color felt on bottom base. Assembled and ran for over five hours to ensure proper functionality. Name plate tag reads. This fan would make a great conversation piece for your work office or your home office. As you can see a lot of work and hours has gone into this fan to make it function properly. This is not a cheap restoration. I have been restoring antiques over 25 years and take a lot of pride in my work and pay attention to every detail.
