Please view all pics for condition. Shows wear from being used and from storage. Surfaces have some scuffs, and scratches. It does not have the cord, and the switch to turn it on. I don’t see any chips, cracks, or breaks. The brass blades are 12 across. A nice early General Electric brass blade fan. Can be used as parts, restored, or displayed as is. This sale is for a pre-owned Antique Emerson Six Brass Blades Fan Oscillator 71666 – AS-IS – Parts/Repair. The first and only time I tried the oscillation function, there was a large spark and I shut it down. Otherwise, the fan seems to be functioning properly. It turns on and works on all speed settings (see last picture). Cosmetically, it is in fair used antique condition and as such show some obvious signs of wear and soiling commensurate with age and use (see pictures). The brass blades need to be polished, the metal body/frame has paint loss and some rust, and the original main power cord was replaced at some point (see pictures). Also, there seems to be a couple small chips on the metal part that looks like a collar between the base and the top part of the fan (see pictures). Thanks for looking and good luck! Specifically, it needs to be rewired because the wires from the base to the motor have succumbed to age (as pictured). The fan spins freely, the switch moves through all its speed positions, and I would be pretty confident that everything will work fine once it’s been rewired. I see no signs of abuse or moisture damage. There are some tiny dings including on the tip of one blade (final photo). As usual, the cage also needs a bit of manipulation to get it back to perfect form, but I see no major kinks or bends that would suggest it was dropped on its head. Just a lovely fan for someone who enjoys restoring them! The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age.
