Overall good condition for age. Tested fan does turn on and seems to work as should left running for 5 minutes. Wing nut does loosing for tilt. Please refer to pics.

Octagon Westinghouse Electric Ocsillating Fan Vintage Antique, for PARTS. This listing is for an antique Westinghouse ocsillating fan. It’s quite unusual as the cage has an octagonal shape. The label on the motor indicates the style of this fan is 699785, 60 cycles, 100/120 volts. The fan measures about 11″ inches wide, 13.5″ inches high, and 7 inches deep. Some wear on the insulation of the cord. This is scratched, dusty, dirty, oily, bent, missing one of the connecting cage pieces on the bottom, please see the picture with my fingers and it showing the piece that’s missing. This fairly hard to find model is the 16 version of the short run Debonaire series of Westinghouse fans. It runs on 3 speeds, but it is not oscillating. It is missing the neck knob and the base knuckle has cracks. It has two small spot welds that have become detached where it mounts to the back ring. One front nut and one guard clip is missing. The switch knob is missing. It is has non original paint. It should be a good candidate for restoration. All reasonable offers will be considered. Please see all of the images and ask any questions. Sturdy very early 1900’s octagon-cage adjustable oscillating GE General Electric desk fan. Has original paper label on base. Fan runs well, moves a lot of air, and oscillates back and forth. Small thumb screw allows you to adjust the tilt angle of fan. Turns on and off via a small nickle-silver knob on base. Fan cage approx 10″ across, fan including cage approx 15″ tall. VERY UNUSUAL and HARD TO FIND Octagon shape cage and base, an early Art Deco style. Two screw holes in octagonal base to attach to surface – an early practice to protect a valuable appliance!
