Fresh from an estate is a terrific General Electric antique brass blade electric fan circa early 1920s. Featuring 6 diameter solid brass blades, this model was the smallest fan GE produced over the many decades it manufactured electric fans. The fan was manufactured for dual use — on a flat horizontal surface desk, table, mantle, etc. Or mounted to a wall using a hole in the base. The fan was also manufactured to operate on either alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). The fan is in very good vintage cosmetic condition, especially considering it’s 100 years old. The fan retains most of its paint (with age appropriate scuffs and scratches) and there is oxidation across the cage. The cloth cord appears original and is fraying throughout. The fan’s height is 8″, width is 7″, and depth is 4.75. In some photos there may be a very faint vertical yellow-ish line on the left third of the photo. This is an issue with the camera, the line is not evident on the fan! The fan will be expertly and meticulously packed. It will be securely wrapped with 2-3 layers of bubble-wrap, double-boxed, and very securely packed. Fresh from an estate is a minty art deco antique electric fan manufactured by Wright Industries of Lisbon, Ohio in the later 1930s / early 40s. Marketed as the “Zephyr Airkooler, ” the fan features a solid aluminum stylized body, blades, and motor housing, which was very unique at the time. The fan is in a remarkable state of preservation — it appears to have been rarely, if ever, used. The fan was manufactured for both use as a desk fan or to be mounted on a wall — it would look outstanding mounted to a wall! The fan is in outstanding original cosmetic condition — looks to have never been used. The paint is nearly fully intact with almost no scuffing or scratches (save one on the back of the motor). The “Wright Industries” applied overlay on the front center of the base is still present and legible. The soiled hang tag is still present on the cord, which is also original. The cage and blade are dusty and dirty and should clean up well. Please see pictures for a visual inspection of the fan. The fan is a single model and operates well with a little noise — perhaps needs oil? The fan’s height is 12.5″, width is 10″, and depth is 8.25. Vintage fans make wonderful, unique, and highly distinctive birthday, wedding, and holiday gifts. This Circa 1907 Restored 12 GE Pancake has been beautifully restored. The restoration was done very well and displays beautifully. The cast iron was restored in a goregous rich black finish. The original patina on the brass blades and cage has been preserved and compliments the shiney black finish very nicely. There are a few minor imperfections in the finish on the top of the rear motor cover that appear to be touched up chips and around both power terminals on the rear cover is a small area of rough textured finish. Fan has new period correct head wire and power cord. We installed a new 5 speed switch with pointer and knob. Fan runs excellent on all 5 speeds. This fan is perfect the addition to a GE pancake fan collection or beautiful decorative accent piece with function.

Manual start move switch all the right. Then move back 1-2 speed or just kick start spinning the blade. Runs medium to high speed. The has had older restoration, newer cord older paint looks great. All brass blade and cage.
