Antique TEMCO Electric Oscillating Fan Loop Handle Tideman Electric Mfg. It has the loop handle and is a model 560 and a low serial number of 27. I’ve been able to find Menominee fans which appears to be essentially the same and are somewhat more common. The fan is without a doubt something of a mess, the wiring is completely shot and against my better judgment I plugged it in, the motor hums but it is seized and smoke started to come from it. The cover over the gearbox that drives the oscillation feature is totally damaged. Rust is omnipresent along with much paint loss. Since I’ve absolutely no idea what the value is I’ll price it high and see if there’s any interest, I’ll consider adding best offer after a month or so. Antique GE General Electric 16 Oscillating Fan w/ Brass Blades and loop handle. This Was GE’s Staple Workhorse Fan Of The Late 20’s. The design was proven very reliable and lasted for many years. The form number on this one dates it between 1927 and 1929. These majestic larger fans were used primarily in upscale homes, banks and department stores. This fan has been cleaned up and brought back to life. It runs on all three speeds and oscillates like it did nearly 100 years ago. Installed new grease in the oscillator gear box, new oil and wicks in the oil reservoirs, new cloth head wire (stator to the speed switch) and a new cloth power wire and plug. New paint, rubber grommets and missing parts replaced. The bottom plate has been cleaned and painted with a new felt wrap and re-installed.
