Exceptionally rare Lundell cast iron utility/fan motor, manufactured ca. 1894 by Interior Conduit & Insulation Co. All original japanned painted finish and pinstripes. Identical frame to fan motor. Brass plate indicates 1892 patent, 4 volts, 1040 speed. Weight is just under 12 lbs. Ball is approximately 5 in diameter. The motor and base are 11 3/4 high. The Pancake style motor is 6 3/4 in diameter. The brass blades are 12 in diameter. In very good condition, it had been in storage in a fleet of a dry barn for many, many decades. Blades spin freely with no bad noises. Blades are pretty much straight but may need a little bit of tweaking. Motor and base have no chips or cracks and have most of the original paint. Speed control lever works smoothly. Has the pictured brass tag on the side of the base that reads. INTERIOR CONDUIT & INSULATION CO. 4400 – 16000 ALTERNATION 104 VOLTS PATENTS PENDING. On ceramic base is: CONNECT HERE. Flaws: Missing the fan cage and the cord is totally cracked and decayed and unusable. Untested as I would have to rewrite the power cord and I have no source of 104 Volt power.
