An early 1900`s GE 16-inch solid brass drop ring electric fan guard in excellent salvaged condition. Included are three solid brass struts (one with a broken tip – please see the photos), three original brass clips and screws. The deep curve in the two side struts would likely indicate the guard and struts came from a GE Kidney fan or large early oscillator. The guard is clean and unlacquered. The front to back ring wires could be slightly repositioned if desired. Overall, a good solid guard. The rear ring measures approximately17 in. The front ring about 15 in. The front to back width is 4 in.

Great example of a true turn of the century electric fan. Good project for the re-builder. Fan motor not working. Great set piece for theater, movies, TV, etc. Appears original except the power cord.

1914 Patent 3 speed tilt Westinghouse Whirlwind Fan no guard Runs quiet Video. Great condition for age. 4 Metal brass tone plated blades. Blades are not brass. Tested and runs quietly. A bit hard to feel the difference on the medium setting but noticeable fan speed difference between high and low speeds. Fan head can tilt. It does looks like the power cord has been replaced at one time. Please see all photos and video. Again this fan Doe Not have the blade guard. Blades may be removed and packed separately in the same box to ensure they do not get damaged. The brass tag is marked as follows.
