It is excellent condition and works perfectly, although the cord will need to be replaced as the insulation is cracking on it. The finish on the case is very good to excellent. There are a couple of blemishes see photos. It is very heavy as many of these old fans were. I sometimes use clean recycled boxes and packing material (including plastic shopping bags, which I have found to be excellent for packaging) in order to reduce the load on planet earth. Fine Antique Robbins & Myers Model 2410 Oscillating Electric Fan. 20 inches tall by 17 inches wide and 10 inches deep. This particular fan is an early model with the extended Oscillator. It was not considered to be very effective and was replaced by a more conventional oscillator in 1916. Double signed, with the “R&M” logo on the front of the cage, and on the brass tag on the top of the fan motor which reads: ALTERNATING CURRENT FAN MOTTER – Volts: 110 – Cyc: 60 – List No. 2410 – The Robbins & Myers Co. Springfield, Ohio, Made in the U. Fan has the following features. 4 polished brass blades. Other brass highlights (Screws, badges, oscillating mechanism). Screw holds for mounting. Adjustment screws to angle the fan. Speeds run at a similar rate. Oscillates in a wide arc. Good paint with only minor losses. This fan, with similar speeds is not perfect, and is priced accordingly.
