This fan works great, powers on easily, runs smoothly on all three speeds (low, medium, high), and oscillates properly. A strong, quiet example of Emerson’s renowned pre-Depression build quality. All major components appear original, including. Wire basket guard. 4-blade steel fan. Center Emerson badge. Cast-iron base with felt. Rear oscillation control. Rotary 3-speed selector. Original black enamel finish shows honest age-appropriate wear and patina, consistent with nearly 100 years of use. No repainting or cosmetic restoration has been done. This 16 GE fan is in good original condition for its age. The both wires have been cut off and would need to be replaced. The motor spins and it in is complete with everything as seen in photos.

Please Read: This fan is a 6 blade early brass model very rare. This antique Emerson fan is not perfect, but does work and function as intended. Three defects of the fan, to my knowledge after closely inspecting and cleaning it up a bit are as follows: the power cord is not the original cord it is a GE cord from anther powered item. Also, the blades are not in the most pristine shape as they have tarnish/ corrosion and will need to be thoroughly polished and cleaned. Lastly, the fan must be put to the highest setting in order to initiate the propeller from the off position then can be switched to the lower settings, this is what the result of many years in storage does to old appliances and will possibly need taken apart to remove any dust buildup for better performance. All these things are probably what would be done during any typical restoration and I assure that this fan is in very good condition for its age. And the small defects are minimal. This is an antique and very rare. This fan works as is and can be used as is, or can be restored and become a great addition to any collection for decoration. The fan works very well and heavy duty and powerful for its size and age. Caution: The blades will cause harm to anyone if not aware of safety features that the fans from this era lack compared to modern fans we have today. Please be cautious so children don’t accidentally play near the fan or use it without exteme caution. The 1920’s Emerson Type 29668 16 Oscillating Desk Fan is a charming antique piece that exudes vintage charm. Made of brass and cast iron with a black color finish. Features swivel up an Down and side to side.

This antique Emerson Junior desk fan has been tested and works great. The fan powers on easily and runs smoothly. The motor sounds strong with no unusual noises. Please note: the tilt adjustment mechanism appears to be missing one side, so the fan head cannot currently be tilted up or down and remains fixed in position. This does not affect operation. Tested and fully operational. Original Emerson Junior badge present. Original cage, blades, base, and cord. Nice aged patina consistent with age. Tilt adjustment incomplete (see photos). Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
