Antique Desk General Electric 16 Fan Brass Guard Drop Ring Cage 1910-13c GE USA. Preowned condition original guard with aged wear, solid brass, heavy wire construction. Crimps are solid, some light bends overall good presentation and condition (see images). Seldom seen today in this size, circa 1910-13 eight wire wrapped, GE logo badge has bends/tears and was on it when we obtained it, though may be later 19 teens vintage style or could be original to guard in transitition era. Its classic metal blade and elegant Bakelite base capture the distinctive Art Deco styling of the early electric fan era. The fan retains an attractive, honest vintage appearance. The metal shows some surface rust consistent with its age, and the power cord has areas where the outer fabric covering has worn away.
