Original 1950’s Westinghouse Electric Fan. One Speed, Oscillating electric fan. Fan measures 13 inches tall with a 10 inch Blade. The entire body has been, detergent washed, glass blasted and repainted using an automotive grade three step finish with clear coat. This color is “Dark Root beer” on the motor and “Piano Black” on the base. The cage is black. The fan blade is high polished aluminum. The cord is dark black and the plug is brown. The bottom has a protective rubber cord around the base to protect your table and for a non-skid design. Westinghouse is laser etched. Across the front to expose “White lettering” underneath the piano black on the front cage bar. All the Westinghouse letters are the original lettering font. Without this original Westinghouse font on the front cage bar, the restoration is not complete. Please look closely at the quality of the Westinghouse Logo, this is my specialty. Including the motor were removed, cleaned, inspected, re-varnished, re-sealed, soldered connections made, new wire and shrink wrap added. Gear box cleaned and new grease added. This fan was fully tested for 48 hr continuous service. It operates like engineered. The fan blade as been balanced for smooth operation. Some minor “original” defects are present on some components. These defects make it a one of a kind fan. I will include oiling and oscillating adjustment instruction. This fan comes fully oiled and greased. You will be very pleased with my restorations. I have offered many restored fans over the years with many happy customers. Please look at my feedback from recent customers. Please keep your fan up away from small children and pets. Oil the fan with a light grade motor once a year. I use a zoom spout oil. Thank you for viewing my fan. This is an antique GE fan from a local estate. It is “TYPE AOU FORM V2″ featuring solid brass fan blades with Dark Green painted frame (see images). The fan blades are 16″ wide, with 18″ diameter cage. It was rewired at some point using a modern heavy electrical cord (yellow cord has been painted black). It runs and oscillates when plugged into power. It operates at several speeds when the switch position is adjusted, although it does not “stop” when switched to the “OFF” position (not investigated). It is overall dirty estate condition, with some paint losses, specks, and wear (see images). Nice original polish to brass fan blades, with expected light tarnish from age (see images).
