Circa 1930 GE 8 stationary desk fan. By the 1920’s with the electric fan becoming a staple of the American home, retailers recognized the market for a smaller fan at a lower price point. GE marketed this small fan to give a big breeze at a lower price. This fan was designed to pack a punch, it moves a large amount of air for a small compact fan. The original deep green GE finish and runs smoothly on its single speed. This fan is celebrating its 95th birthday. We have disassembled and serviced for daily use. New power cord has been installed. Rare diehl Pullman train car fan.. I bought this a few years ago in collection out of st. It also had an extra original base. This fan is in super condition for being 100+ years old. Needs a good clean and a few parts. I have a list of the couple parts it needs and happy to share. Someone who knows these rare fans or does this type of work understands what it’s missing. The springs and caps can be bought online parts. Fan doesn’t work but won’t take much. I have the website to get parts. I just don’t do this type of restoration work.

The paint is 100% original and pretty nice with only slight nicks here and there but very presentable. The blades are clean and shiny and would probably buff up a bit. The fan works but the cage around the blades has been crimped in and the blades stopped moving. Could be bent out to original form but I’ll pass on doing that as I’ll most likely break it. One of the cage bars is separated from a connecting bar and could be epoxied or glued back – look at pictures The cloth covering over the cord is falling apart but the actual wiring looks ok. It’s a great looking fan for a person who appreciates color variations. Ask questions if you have them. Sell to Us 48 States only.
