This fan runs smoothly and operates perfectly. Tested all three speeds and oscillation all working perfectly. This fan was obviously painted white somewhere in the distant past. I suspect 40-50 years ago. This fan is easily between 80 and 100 years old. See pictures for details. Feel free to ask any questions. As always, thanks for looking.

The cord on this fan has been replaced, when I bought it, it had already had a replaced cord… So I replaced that cord with a period looking cord. From my research, I could tell that this fan was made in the 1940’s. However, when I was replacing the cord, I noticed the copper wire was tinned, which indicates a more approximate time of around WW2… Because during the war, they did this to conserve copper. This fan works, is almost mint, has chrome plated blades and is in remarkable condition for its age. I used some swan mineral oil to freshin up it’s look. But running the fan on lesser voltage extends it’s life… It’s already outlived its creator and its company, and survived a world war… Maybe it can outlive you too! This Antique brass blade fan just came out of an old Cape Cod barn. This is a large size fan with a cage measuring about 17 in diameter!! Fan is in working condition and has three speeds /oscillates. It shows wear and would benefit from a cleaning and servicing given that is was unused for many years. A great antique fan!!
