Up for your consideration is this Whimsical Westinghouse Antique Desk or Table Fan! This Vintage appliance measures 10″ blade diameter and having a wonderful 11″ diameter Art Deco Shroud. This is in working order as can be seen with the fan blades spinning in the final photo. It did stall and with a little persuasion began spinning again. My recommendation is to lubricate and definitely rewire this piece if you intend to use this for cooling purposes. The condition is good but has honest patina, light surface rust and oxidation. The good news is a minor cleaning, lubrication and blade polishing would make this a showpiece for the shelf or showcase! Or leave her as she is to retain her natural charm and charisma! Antique Oscillating Emerson Electric 10 Inch Brass Bladed Fan This pre owned fan was removed from 50+ year storage by me and kept until now The fan appears to be in Remarkably Original Untouched Condition with only minor wear and has not been cleaned or restored at all The Only change from original I saw was an early replaced cord (For safety – looks like 1960s) I did test the fan and it certainly runs and oscillates as designed (see photos) I also Lightly scraped a small bottom edge of 1 blade (see Photo) to confirm for sure the blade was brass IT IS!

As is this fan is for restoration, parts or simply a discussion piece, please reference pictures. Additional condition notes – At any given position at least two of the brass blades press up against the front of the metal cage, so some modification work will be required there too. The blades are in pretty good shape overall, one has a very slight bend to it. The stout handle on top of the motor is a plus, this fan has some weight to it!

The fan does run really strong and moves a lot of air and could be used as is with some minor modifications… Still, with the busted oscillator this fan is great for restoration, parts or simply a discussion piece, please reference pictures. Additional condition notes – The blades are in pretty good shape overall, though there are some dings to the edges. Also, the red paint has some flakes/missing areas. This fan has some weight to it! It is model 28646, 3 speed with an unusual pyramid logo on the front of the fan. For being 100 years old, it is in excellent condition with age appropriate paint loss to the cast iron parts.
