Fresh from an estate is a General Electric fan manufactured in the 1940s and marketed under the Vortalex name. The fan blade, cage, motor housing, and base are made of steel. The fan is all original and in beautiful condition, and shows very little signs of use. The tan paint is generally bright and shiny (with some age appropriate scratches and wear), the cord is original and in good condition, and the original brown felt on the bottom of the fan is still present and in good condition. The fan is a three speed model (high – medium – low) and may be operated stationary or oscillating. Best of all, the fan runs beautifully — and oscillates smoothly — on three distinct speeds. The blades measure 16 in diameter — this fans puts out a lot of air! The width is 18.5″, height is 20.25″ and depth is 11.5. The build quality of the fan is impressive — heavy! The fan represents a bygone era of American craftsmanship. If you are looking for a stylish vintage fan in outstanding original condition that is ready to show and use immediately, look no further! The fan would look especially terrific in a mid century home or space. Fans make wonderful holiday, birthday, and wedding gifts — anytime a unique and distinctive gift is needed. This antique fan is a beautifully restored Western Electric fan model made of brass, featuring a lollipop design. It is a 12-inch table/desk fan powered by electricity, manufactured in the United States. The fan is in excellent working condition and is a sought-after collectible item for fans of vintage electric appliances. Very nice restored western electric Victor 12 inch lollipop fan. Looks and runs like new. I restored this fan over 10 years ago for a customer who has asked me to sell it for them. Antique 11 Manning Bowman Desk Fan, ca 1947, Custom Restoration, Beautiful! You are looking at an authentic item. Rarely do you find this type of unit professionally restored to this level. A company that has been in business since 1985. Look us up on the net. This 11 Manning Bowman electric desk fan is just beautiful. We meticulously dissembled all existing parts and electrical connections and repaired as needed, cleaned, and reassembled to bring this piece back to life by our skilled technicians. All inside components have been refurbished and re-protected. All visible parts have been professionally polished, restored, and/or professionally painted with show car automotive paint. Dimensions are “11X14″X7. This model is a single speed fan and has a rotary switch on the motor cover. The switch is original. The cage has been custom painted in black & maroon and we enhanced the body with custom pin striping of this really beautiful fan to make it a one of a kind piece. The “Manning Bowman” button was specially protected with our custom preservation process! It is a bit darkened due to age and there is a small area which has been rubbed off but we think it adds to the over all antique appearance in contrast to the beautiful restoration job! The fan operates great. The balanced blades work perfectly. The fan can be operated as normal (although we discourage constant use due to it’s age) and is so beautiful to display! By the way, understand the reflections in the pictures may make things look like there are bare spots or paint missing. This is an illusion, there are no chips or bare spots.
