Very nice all original condition Sprague Lundel motor. This motor has been tested and it does work. Still some original faint pinstriping lines are visible. This would be a great motor if you needed something for a popcorn maker or any other early item that needs an electric power source. Has a great look to it and not that expensive. The fan is in excellent condition for its age with normal wear including scratches and scuffs. It has been recalled as seen. I tested the fan, leaving it on for about 10 minutes and it worked good. It was a bit noisy of course, but still worked. A great piece for a collector as it’s quite a rare find. It measures at 11.25 inches tall. The blade measures at 8 inches across. It will be fully insured and carefully packed to prevent any damage.

Circa 1910 12 Eck Tigre Hurricane Sidegear Ball Motor Oscillator Original Finish. Manufactured by ECK for the South American market using the “Tigre” name. Original Condition of this example is exceptional!! The South American market heavily used their fans and it is very rare to find one in this condition. The cast iron ball motor paired with the exposed “crude” oscillator mechanism is an excellent combination of early fan/oscillator technology. Cast iron 4 leg base retains the original switch and speed coil. The neck on this model is “convertible” for wall mounting if desired. Brass components have a wonderful original patina. Identification tag appears to have been cleaned displaying a brighter brass finish. When supplied with 220V AC, the fan runs excellent on 3 speeds with little difference noted between 1 & 2. Please view the attached video of the fan in operation. 17.5 h x 13 w x 11 d.

Vintage 8 Inch Menominee Antique Ball Motor Electric Desk Fan Single Speed Works. This is a nice rare desk fan that I received in an estate. It seems to work as it should when plugged in. The blades measure 8″ across and stands 11″ tall. It’s a single speed fan. Would make a great addition to your collection or a very nice gift for a fan collector.

Vintage 1940 Parkinson Ceiling Ball Fan 56 Inch Sweep, Working. For sale Vintage 1940 Parkinson Ceiling Ball Fan 56 Inch Sweep, Working. A vintage Crompton Parkinson Ball Fan, model “Kistna”. Manufactured in then British era Bombay (Mumbai) in 1940. The metal label is marked– “Crompton Kistna Fan 56″ BBIC B. A No 367 Volts 220/230 -50 Crompton Parkinson Bombay, India. The blade sweep is of 56 inches (1422mm); the voltage is 220 volts, AC, 50 hertz. Height is 23 inches (including rod); total unpacked weight is 15 kgs. The spherical shape of the motor inspired the name “Ball Fan”. This is over 75 years old Fan, it has been tested and is working perfectly. The paint flakes off because of brittleness due to age. A cosmetic restoration by stripping off the old paint and repainting it, should make it look good. The motor will be carefully packed with inserts along with the three dismantled aluminium blades.
