The fan is a wonderful small size (8 diameter bade) and is in outstanding vintage condition. It appears it was used very little and stored carefully. The fan is very unique in that the base/neck is made of bakelite. Also unique is the wonderful badge on the center of the cage with a red cardinal — it would make a wonderful and distinctive gift for a St. The fan blade and cage is made of steel, and the motor housing (save a steel metal band) and base are made of bakelite. The fan retains its original paint, which is in outstanding condition. The bakelite is also in excellent condition save for a hairline crack on the upper neck of the fan — please see the photo. The cord is newer replacement. Please view the pictures for a visual examination of the fan’s cosmetic condition. The fan was manufactured without a switch and is designed as a “plug-and-play” fan. The fan runs well and fast! The fan blades measure 8 in diameter. The fan’s height is approximately 10″, it is 9″ wide, and 6 deep. Fans provide a wonderful and stylish vintage look, and this fan is ready to be displayed and used. This fan is fresh from a local estate, it does work on both speeds however the cord is very brittle! Definitely would recommend a rewire as the casing is cracking off and it’s had a replacement end spliced on already. Small chip/crack on head of fan as shown in photos. Little fan actually moves a lot of air!

Works but needs new cord to be safe. Has stain mark on bottom as shown in pictures. No cracks but does have signs of use / wear as shown in pictures.

Spectacular condition Singer Ribbonaire 1930’s art deco style fan with original fabric blades in solid condition. Bakelite looks great and has no cracks. One VERY small chip towards the back of the joint where the fan can fold/adjust. Two minor scuffs noted near one of the ribbons. The cord is original and is in very good condition. The plug is scuffed on one side. The bottom decal is near mint condition. One or two of the rubber “feet” on the bottom ring have cracking. The fan is fully functional! Both low and high speeds work well. There is a slight wobble with the fan blades/head when going from “off” to “low” but this is completely eliminated if you go from “off” to “high” to “low” first (getting to full speed first before turning it down in a number of seconds). Please see all photos and ask questions, as needed.
