It will need a good cleaning and tuning. Tighten up the screws and bolts to make sure the fan blades don’t touch. Pictures show it on and the blades spinning. It doesn’t have a burning smell or make weird noises. Pictures show condition of everything. Rare bc it’s 18 inches from side to side. This is a heavy and larger desk fan. Antique General Electric 12 Desk Fan Base Motor Housing PPG Auto Paint Part. This is all we have of this fan. It was a project that was painted about 28 years ago and has been wrapped in a box in storage all these years. When this was painted in the mid 1990s, all the parts were stripped, cleaned, bead blasted, cleaned and prepped for PPG DAU Black Epoxy Primer. The top coat paint is PPG Single Stage Urethane in the old DAU system. This also includes the factory GE hardware that you see in the images. Factory base, yoke, motor housing, back end bell, neck bolt, 2 wingnuts and 2 brass yoke bolts. The finish is very high quality and an excellent quality paint, its not 100% perfect, but its very nice. Please see all images for a pictorial description and ask any questions.

Vintage General Electric GE Floor Fan with Auto Thermostat In/Out – Working Fan. This is a very large piece of appliance history that is still operating! I actually used this in my office for a while until recently move and downsized. Not super smooth running in terms of being quite! Runs all 3 speeds and in and out function. As for the temperature gauge, it’s missing the knob, and I never tried it out for long since this is a 70+ year old item. Dimensions shown in photos 23.5″x23.5″x7.5 weighs a little over 27 pounds.
