Vintage Fitzgerald “Star Rite” 832SIM Electric Fan 8 TESTED Works! Overall for the age of the fan its in great condition. It gives off a strong breeze. It has been listed just as I found it and not cleaned up at all. As you can see from the pictures, the cord has seen better days and has some exposed wire here and there. The chord also has the outer fabric coating coming off and you can see in the picture the tiny hair-like fibers all over from the fabric coming off. If you have any other question just ask! Antique Art Deco Octagonal. 8 Fitzgerald STYLE 832SIM. Desk Fan with Brass Blades. For Parts or Repair. The blade diameter is 8. This lovely fan needs to be rewired because the wires are totally missing. The fan spins freely and the (single-speed) switch moves, so I would be pretty confident that everything will work fine once it’s been rewired. I see no signs of abuse or moisture damage and no dings on the blades. Also no bends in the cage that would suggest it was dropped on its head. Just a lovely fan for someone who enjoys restoring them! The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age.
